About Joe...


Based in North Yorkshire, I am a professional photographer and filmmaker dedicated to capturing the raw, awe-inspiring beauty of the natural world. My work is fueled by a lifelong passion for the outdoors and a deep connection to the diverse landscapes of the UK, from rugged coastlines to sweeping national parks.


By pairing precise technical execution with a creative eye for light and atmosphere, my goal is to produce high-production, emotionally resonant imagery that brings these environments to life through cinematic filmmaking and photography.


In 2016 I graduated from the University of Cumbria with a first class BA (Hons) degree in Wildlife Media where I created two major film projects in Scotland 'Eigg - Our Island'  and  'Sutherland - The Forgotten Corner of Britain'.


Since 2017 I have been working for the University of York as their videographer creating all kinds of different video marketing content whilst still offering my freelance services.

‘Growing up in North Yorkshire, Joe has been fortunate enough to have pristine countryside and views on his doorstep. Constantly inspired by the natural world; mainly the diverse geography and ever changing (and often rapidly) weather in Britain, led him to become a passionate natural history photographer; specialising in landscapes. Achievements


Shortlisted for the renowned 'Landscape Photographer of the Year' competition in 2015.


Runner-up in the Worldwide Wildlife Category in the Eighth Annual Nature Photography Awards ran by the Scottish Seabird Centre.


Having one of his images used on the cover of the official programme for the popular Scott Trials Event.


Having one of his images used on the True Highlands Charity Calendar 2016 .


Having one of his Aurora Borealis images featured on the BBC Look North News broadcast.
